In 2020, with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), 7 studies of the domestic market were conducted based on requests from micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
In 2021, asides from continuing to provide state support for domestic market research based on applications from SMBs, domestic market research will also be carried out by SMBDA.
At the moment, food, agriculture, services, textile, etc are the fields in which work is being done.
The agency’s inteneded domestic market research will differ from the ones carried out by the requests of SMBs because it will be made publically available and the results of the research will be posted on SMBDA website for usage of other SMBs (www.smb.gov.az).
Small and medium-sized businesses can apply to the Agency directly or electronically through info@smb.gov.az by filling out the application form on SMBDA website (http://bit.ly/3keYxo9) to ask for domestic market research.

It should be noted that government support has been provided to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for conducting domestic market research since 2019, and this support is carried out by SMBDA. According to the "Rules of State Support for Domestic Market Research to Promote Competitive Production of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises" dated May 29, 2019, 80% of the cost of each domestic market research conducted based on the use of microenterprises. 50% of the cost of research is commissioned by a small business entity covered by the government. Medium-sized enterprises can take advantage of free trainings, seminars and informational support under this support mechanism. In general, the amount of support paid to small and medium-sized enterprises for each study of the domestic market is up to 20,000 manat.
