The event will focus on exploring the nexus between the "green economy" and ESG principles, delving into the private sector's expectations and initiatives to ensure a seamless transition to a sustainable "green economy."
On May 31, at 15:00, a conference on "The importance of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) principles in the transition to a green economy" will be held at "Baku SMB House" with the support of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings under the organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA).

The purpose of organizing the conference is to promote ESG principles, to emphasize the importance of these principles in the transition to the "green economy" and the importance of their application in business, and to encourage the exchange of ideas between interested parties in this field.
The event will cover the relationship between "green economy" and ESG principles, expectations and initiatives of the private sector in ensuring a successful transition to "green economy", global trends in ESG and development issues in the national context, and ESG initiatives in state-owned companies.
It is worth pointing that in 2022, the "Environmental, social and corporate governance standards" subgroup of the "Corporate governance, investments and corporate social responsibility" working group of the Commission for Business Environment and International Ratings was established. The subgroup is headed by KOBİA. The subgroup includes representatives of about 20 institutions and organizations representing the state, private and public sectors.
