The next issue of the "Dostlug" newspaper, published by the "Iraq-Azerbaijan Friendship Society" operating in Iraq, has been published.
AZERTAC reports that this issue of the newspaper published an article about the interview of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to local TV channels on January 12. The views of the President of Azerbaijan on the extensive construction work carried out in the regions liberated as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War were widely covered.
The newspaper also published articles on the January 20 tragedy by Nasir Mammadov, Chargé d'Affaires of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iraq, and Moataz Abdulhamid, a professor at Baghdad University. In both articles, Iraqi readers were informed about the causes and consequences of the tragedy. It was noted that the USSR leadership, trying to oppress the Azerbaijani people, failed to do so. However, the Azerbaijani people have achieved freedom.
The publication also includes an article by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The article notes that Iraqi-Azerbaijani economic cooperation meets the interests of both countries, and this cooperation should be further expanded in various fields.
