The joint German-Azerbaijani program for professional development of managers in the Azerbaijani business community continues online due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The selection of entrepreneurs and managers for the professional development course on the topic "Economic Cooperation", announced in November 2020 by the program coordinator in Azerbaijan the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), has been completed and trainings have begun via online on 8 February.
12 entrepreneurs and managers participating in the trainings receive information about international experience in the field of management from specialists of German training centers, learn practical skills and receive support for establishing relations with German companies.
Participants who have successfully completed the professional development course are issued an international certificate. In the future, they will visit Germany for a week to establish cooperation with German companies.
Expenses related to participation in the trainings (excluding international transport costs) are covered by Germany within the framework of the "German-Azerbaijani Joint Program for Professional Development of Managers in the Business Community of Azerbaijan" approved by the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy and the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy. It should be noted that 450 entrepreneurs and managers were trained, gained knowledge and international experience in the field of management. The online professional development course has been contiuing since last year due to the pandemic. To increase participation of entrepreneurs and managers in the next training courses, admission will continue throughout the year during the pandemic.
