The SMB Friend network expands 08.10.20

The Small and Medium Business Friend (SMB Friend) Network of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA) continues to expand. The next "SMB Friend" has started its activity in Imishli region. Thus, the number of SMB Friends operating in the country has reached 17.

An event dedicated to the start of the activity of SMB Friend was held with the organization of SMBDA and the support of Imishli Region Executive Power on October 8 in Imishli. The information about SMB Friend mechanism as well as services and support to be provided to micro, small, and medium businesses by SMB friend was given at the event, which organized with the participation of representatives of different government agencies providing services to entrepreneurs in Imishli region and entrepreneurs.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, said that SMBs operating in Imishli and surrounding regions could apply to “SMB Friend” in areas such as opening a business, expanding existing business activities as well as protecting their rights and interests. The Imishli "SMB Friend" will provide support and services to entrepreneurs in areas such as information, consulting, training, legal assistance, and coordination with government agencies. Inviting entrepreneurs to work closely with SMB Friend, Orkhan Mammadov said that the SMB Friend network would cover other cities and regions of the country as well.

Vilyam Hajiyev, Head of Imishli Region Executive Power, briefed on the economic potential of the region and opportunities to expand entrepreneurship activities and expressed his confidence that SMB Friend will support small and medium businesses.

At the end of the event, participants got acquainted with the “SMB Friend” office operating in the Heydar Aliyev Center in Imishli region.
