The Social Entrepreneurship and Employment Center has started in Masalli

On July 26, Social Entrepreneurship and Employment Center started operating in Masalli.


The center located in the Masalli Industrial Park is established with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), the State Employment Agency, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security, "Azersu" OJSC, "Azermash" OJSC, Baku Engineering University, "FORIELLA" LLC, "Ekvita", Baku Textile Factory and "Disabled Entrepreneurs Organization" Public Union.


Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Organization of Disabled Entrepreneurs" Public Union Mirza Mammad Valiyev and representatives of other partner institutions, persons belonging to the disabled and vulnerable social groups got acquainted with the conditions created in the center.


It was reported that appropriate conditions have been created in the center for people with limited health opportunities and vulnerable social groups, including members of martyrs' families, veterans to acquire relevant professional knowledge. The center was provided with appropriate equipment for tailoring, carpet weaving and photo-video operator professions at the expense of the grant allocated by the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.  Necessary conditions have been created in the center for participants to acquire business and professional knowledge.


At the next stage persons belonging to the disabled and vulnerable social groups who will successfully complete vocational and business training at the center will be connected with the relevant institutions to provide them with appropriate equipment within the framework of the self-employment program. In addition, project partners will provide consulting services to participants in the field of business plan preparation, management and development of entrepreneurial activity.


The purpose of the establishment of the center is to integrate people belonging to vulnerable and disabled social groups into society, to increase their business-oriented knowledge and skills, to develop social entrepreneurship activities, to support new business initiatives, to support the access of socially vulnerable groups to the labor market. In order to establish the center, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed in December 2021 between KOBİA, State Employment Agency, the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security, "Azersu" OJSC, Baku Engineering University, "FORIELLA" LLC and "Disabled Entrepreneurs Organization" Public Union.
