
The winners of the "Agro-I" competition, held in cooperation with the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency (AKIA), the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), have been announced. A meeting was held in order to assess the project proposals received within the framework of the competition.
The criteria on the applicants’ business plans’ contribution to the agricultural employment, the environment and food security, the innovativeness and sustainability of the project, as well as the current state of the knowledge-skills, experience, technical and financial resources necessary for the realization of the business idea were taken into account in assessment.
A total of 59 people applied for the "Agro-I" competition, and among them, 5 people who achieved successful results according to the relevant criteria were determined by the commission after staged expertise and assessment.
Hajibala Hajiyev's projects related to the improvement of agrochemical analysis, Rafig Imanov's fodder production, Ilkin Aliyev's projects related to seed breeding, Sarkhan Hajiyev's beekeeping and Babek Bayramov's projects related to the development of animal husbandry were declared the winners of the competition. It should be noted that the winners will be provided with the necessary relevant assets (tools and equipment).
It should be reminded that the "Agro-I" competition was implemented within the framework of the Agrarian Employment Enhancement Project (AMAL). The main goal of the competition is to support the increase of agricultural employment of young people living in the regions, to reveal agrarian-oriented, innovative business initiatives.
