There are many opportunities to expand cooperation with Turkey in the field of SMEs

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) account for 99% of businesses in Azerbaijan and Turkey. The expansion of economic ties between SMEs can make a significant contribution to increasing the total trade turnover and investment between our countries.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) Orkhan Mammadov during his speech at the General Meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Public Union (ATIB). It was noted that KOBİA is ready through various mechanisms and services to support businessmen operating in Azerbaijan or wishing to establish a business here. SME houses, SME development centers, SME friends network, support for internal market research, Startup Certificate, etc. are among the support tools provided by KOBİA. In addition to traditional business models, organizational and legal forms such as public-private partnership (PPP) and clustering can be widely used to increase mutual economic activity. The involvement of Turkish businessmen in the process of reintegration of our liberated lands into the economy forms a new area of our economic relations with Turkey. Most of the foreign applications received by KOBİA to do business in the liberated territories belong to Turkish companies.
