As part of KOBİA`s project "Improving the management skills of entrepreneurs with disabilities", trainings on social communication skills, psychological stability, social media use and public speaking skills were organized for about 30 people with disabilities.
People with disabilities must be included in entrepreneurship and self-employment programs to ensure their inclusion into society and their employment. In this respect, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) encourages entrepreneurship among people with disabilities, by assisting them in starting a business and developing business activities as part of various state support mechanisms, providing business-oriented training and consulting services, coordinating, promoting and selling their products.
KOBİA initiated the project "Improving management skills of entrepreneurs with disabilities" in October 2023 as a continuation of the actions made in this regard. Approximately 30 people with disabilities who are currently engaged in business activities or are planning to start a business, were subjected to special trainings by professionals in 4 areas (social communication skills, use of social media, psychological stability and public speaking) to boost their presentation skills and speaking abilities. Entrepreneurs with disabilities, representatives of state and private organizations also attended round tables and seminars.
On December 5, within the scope of the project, a forum on "Improving management skills of entrepreneurs with disabilities" was held. At the event held with the involvement of KOBİA, the State Employment Agency and other relevant state bodies, representatives of the private sector, information was delivered on projects executed to integrate people with special needs into society in Azerbaijan and expand their employment opportunities, including the project "Improving the management skills of entrepreneurs with disabilities,", and mutual views were shared on this topic.
At the forum, entrepreneurs who benefited from the project were awarded certificates.
