The targeted support and services provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Azerbaijan have garnered significant interest from the visiting delegation of Uzbekistan.
A delegation from the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Azerbaijan to study the country’s experience in the development of the SME sector.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the “Baku SME House,” where they were acquainted with the integrated service environment established to support entrepreneurs under one roof.
During meetings held at the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), the Uzbek representatives were given detailed presentations on national legislation governing the SME sector, the operations of KOBIA, the support mechanisms and services available to SME entities, as well as the implementation of the “SME Friend” and SME House initiatives. The sessions also included a Q&A segment, addressing the delegation’s inquiries.
The visit facilitated an exchange of experiences and perspectives between KOBIA officials and the Uzbek delegation on matters related to SME development.
