Joint cooperation opportunities to expand relations between the business circles of Azerbaijan and Spain have been reviewed.
In order to establish and develop cooperation with SMBs and relevant organizations, representatives of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency(KOBİA) visited Madrid, the capital of Spain.
Within the framework of this visit, organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Spain, Orhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, met with Jordi Garcia Brustenga, Director of Industrial Strategy and SMB Affairs of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism of Spain, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Federation, Marta Blanco, Chairman of the International Relations Committee, Jesus Rubiera, Deputy Director of the Spanish Investment Section of the Spanish Export and Investment Organization (ICEX), and Borja Cabezón, President of the Financial Agency for Emerging Enterprises and SMBs (ENISA).
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed possibilities of expanding relations and cooperation between Azerbaijani and Spanish business circles, including trade relations, investments, implementation of joint projects with the participation of entrepreneurs, organization of joint events, and mutual exchange of information and experience on SMB support.
The meeting also discussed the organization of joint trainings and other programs aimed at improving the skills of SMBs, access to finance, support for innovative initiatives, and exchange of views on tools for supporting entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.
