The winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards, organized by EY Azerbaijan in partnership with the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), will be announced on March 10.
This year, 9 companies from Azerbaijan are participating in the competition. These are ATL Tech, ELAD, Fortune Trade, IDEA, JL Tech, Your Decor and Events, ZIRA Natural & Gourmet, Portmanat and YIGIM Payment System. The winner will be selected from these companies and will have the opportunity to represent Azerbaijan in the Entrepreneur of the Year in the World awards.
For the third year in a row, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards, organized in partnership with SMBDA, is held with the financial support of the ABB. AZPROMO and Ekvita are among the partners of the competition.
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards, established by EY, has been held since 1986. The Entrepreneur of the Year awards, organized in more than 60 countries besides Azerbaijan, is one of the world's most prestigious business awards. The purpose of the Entrepreneur of the Year program is to promote the entrepreneurial activities of high-potential entrepreneurs, to inspire others by demonstrating leadership and success.

ATL Tech
“ATL Tech” is one of the largest software companies in Azerbaijan, both in terms of staff and revenue. The company provides customers with solutions for the call center and ERP (enterprise resource planning) software. ATL Tech's goal is to make companies efficient and accessible. Every day, 30,000 to 40,000 phone calls are processed and managed through ATL's software. ATL has an artificial intelligence laboratory that allows speech in the Azerbaijani language to be recognized and converted into text. ATL is expanding its operations beyond Azerbaijan and currently serves customers in neighboring Georgia, the United Kingdom and the United States. ATL Tech plans to become a regional leader in software development.
ELAD
"ELAD" is a transport service company with more than 16 years of experience in the automotive industry. ELAD is recognized as a responsible and reliable partner in the automotive services market. The company provides the following services: passenger shuttle bus service, airport transfer service, meeting and transportation of guests within the city and within the country, car rental with a driver, evacuation of vehicles, relocation of offices, etc. The company also provides cargo transportation services. Currently, ELAD has a wide range of vehicles that allow customers to solve any problem related to transport services.
Fortune Trade
"Fortune Trade" is a supplier and official distributor of several world brands of lubricants, filters, miscellaneous fluids and AdBlue products in Azerbaijan. With industry, engine, transmission oils, brake fluids, antifreezes, a wide range of filter options and AdBlue, it meets the needs of both corporate and individual customers. In addition, it is the founder of www.oilmarket.az, the first platform created for the online sale of these products. Fortune Trade plans to start production of lubricants in Azerbaijan in the coming years and aims to export its Azerbaijani brand to the world market. However, the company plans to further expand its customer portfolio, which is already emerging abroad.
IDEA
"IDEA" has been operating since 2003 and manufactures small wooden and metal architectural forms for public areas and uses them in construction projects. The small architectural forms produced include elements such as seats, poles, kiosks, pergolas, parking lots, etc. used in open spaces. Currently, the company's portfolio includes more than 500 varieties. The products are characterized by high quality and long warranty and are exported to Qatar, UAE, Russia, Great Britain, as well as other countries. IDEA is the only company in the CIS and the Middle East that can offer such a wide range. The goal of IDEA is to represent Azerbaijan by becoming a world-renowned brand in its field.
JL Tech
"JL Tech" operates in the field of data technology. With the help of JL Tech, customers can easily process data and use it more efficiently. The company is the largest supplier of Oracle in the region and has the status of "Gold Partner" and "Partner of the Year". Along with Azerbaijan, JL Tech has offices in Georgia and Ukraine. In addition, since January 2021, the company has a representative office in Turkey, where it plans to expand its activities.
Portmanat
"Portmanat" is the first electronic wallet system in Azerbaijan. The main goal of Portmanat is to add value to people's lives and make the online experience easier for users. The company offers B2B and B2C solutions for customers. Portmanat is the first platform that allows you to integrate the payment system into websites in a very short time (about 2 hours). Portmanat offers short-term loan services to customers. Through another product called Portmanat Advance, employees of various companies can receive a certain part of their salary ahead of time. YIĞIM Payment System
Founded in 2017, the YIĞIM Payment System offers companies high-tech payment solutions. Allows entrepreneurs to collect payments in a short time through multiple payment channels (Cash Payment terminals, Mobile Banking applications, electronic wallets) with one connection. The brand also acts as a processing service. It offers companies a wide range of functional solutions for accepting payments by bank cards on their websites and mobile applications. YIĞIM Payment System has a "PCI DSS Level 1" certificate, which allows you to store and process card information. The software used belongs entirely to the "YIĞIM" brand. Exclusive solutions, agility and professional approach have led more than 200 companies to rely on the YIĞIM Payment System for cash and non-cash payments. Among them are Wolt, Bolt, Maxim international companies, Absheron Group, PMD Hospitality hotels, 189, Optimal Electronics and Music Gallery. The services provided can be considered unique not only in Azerbaijan, but also in other countries. For this reason, the company's existing customers have invited "YIĞIM" to cooperate in Georgia, Kazakhstan and Central Asia in order to benefit from these services. In 2022, the company plans to provide services in at least two foreign countries.

"Your Decor and Events" was established in 2018. The main concept of ZIRA is to produce high-quality products that demonstrate the rich agricultural and gastronomic traditions of the country and to promote Azerbaijan in the premium food sector in the world arena. The main requirement for the products is the natural cultivation of raw materials. That is why all the ingredients are sourced from small local farmers who do not use chemicals. The company exports its products to foreign countries, mainly to Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine, as well as to non-traditional markets for Azerbaijani products, such as Japan and the United States.
