On January 13, a media tour was organized to "Baku SMB House". Media representatives were informed that "Baku SMB House" with a total area of more than 11,000 square meters consists of three floors. The first two floors of the building are intended for providing government-to-business ("G2B"), business-to-business ("B2B") and other services to entrepreneurs, and the third floor is for the staff.
It was noted that "Baku SMB House" is the 3rd SMB house operating in the country. In line with the concept of the SMB house, services necessary for entrepreneurial activity to business entities are provided by state and private institutions in "Baku SMB House". In general, more than 150 and more than 100 kinds of services are offered to entrepreneurs respectively by 29 state and 20 private institutions in "Baku SMB House". Thus, entrepreneurs can apply to "Baku SMB House" on business registration, obtaining licenses and permits, development of a business plan, access to concessional financial resources, tax, customs, advertising, food safety, and connection to public utilities, notary and other related matters.
In "Baku SMB House", services are rendered by the Ministries of Economy, Health, Digital Development and Transport, Agriculture, Energy, Emergency Situations, Labor and Population Social Protection, Ecology and Natural Resources, Internal Affairs, Justice, Culture, State Customs Committee, State Statistical Committee, State Tourism Agency, Intellectual Property Agency, State Advertising Agency, Baku Transport Agency, Food Safety Agency, Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping" CJSC, "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, Executive Power of Baku City, Chamber of Auditors, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, "Azerishig" OJSC, "Azersu" OJSC and "Azerigas" Production Union. Activity desks of 5 banks, leasing and insurance companies are operating in "Baku SMB House" to ensure the financial accessibility of entrepreneurs.
The State Customs Committee, as well as customs representatives providing customs-related services, logistics companies and a wide range of services on import-export operations are rendered in the International Trade, Development and Logistics Zone established in "Baku SMB House".
The building also provides training, start-up and mediation spaces. Thus, free training courses across various themes and consulting services will be offered for entrepreneurs in the training rooms. Mediation service will be provided to businesspersons in "Baku SMB House" by the Mediation Council to settle commercial disputes out of court. In the Startup Development Center, a shared workspace consisting of various equipment (3D printers and scanners, laser cutting machines, CNC robots, cameras, 3D training glasses and other technological equipment) have been set up for idea-stage startups. The needs of startups for expert, design, engineering and mentor support will be met here. The center will provide startups, meetings of investors, trainings, mentor support and consulting services on a regular basis. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to enjoy the meeting rooms and conference hall in "Baku SMB House" for business meetings and various events.
It was brought to attention that SMB houses are a structural unit of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA). In SMB houses, where government and business services are offered to entrepreneurs in a single space, services are based on the principles of promptness, transparency, kindness and convenience. The main advantages of SMB houses are gathering business services in one place, saving time and costs, and promptness. Currently, SMB houses operate in the cities of Baku, Khachmaz and Yevlakh. So far, almost 200,000 services have been rendered to entrepreneurs in Khachmaz and Yevlakh SMB houses. The rate of satisfaction of entrepreneurs with the services of SMB houses stands at 98%.
In the next stage, it is intended to commence the SMB house in the Ganja city.
SMB houses` business hours are 09:00 (GMT+4) to 18:00 (GMT+4), five days a week.
