A meeting of the Coordination Group on the organization of the Baku SME House was held

The next meeting of the Permanent Coordination Group under the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) was held.

It should be noted that the Coordination Group was established by the Cabinet of Ministers on September 21, 2018 to coordinate business development policy, to ensure effective coordination and efficiency between government agencies and SMBDA in providing services to businesses in SME houses. The Coordination Group includes representatives of about 30 government agencies that provide various services to entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Coordination Group, Deputy Minister of Economy Niyazi Safarov noted that systematic and consistent measures have been taken to develop entrepreneurship in our country. Noting the importance of the activities of SME houses in terms of improving services to entrepreneurs, Niyazi Safarov stressed the importance of joint activities of government agencies in this area.

Chairman of the Board of SMBDA Orkhan Mammadov said that currently there are two SME houses in Khachmaz and Yevlakh, where more than 88,000 services have been provided to entrepreneurs. It was noted that the level of satisfaction of entrepreneurs with the services provided in SME homes is 99%. The experience of Yevlakh and Khachmaz SME houses gives grounds to say that SME houses are an important platform for entrepreneurs. The Baku SME House is expected to start operating in the near future and is currently being finalized. It is planned to provide G2B and B2B services to entrepreneurs at about 130 service desks at the Baku SME House. There will also be a center for startups, a mediation center and an SME development center.

The meeting discussed the activities of SME houses, the establishment of the "Baku SME House" and the organization of the activities of government agencies here.
