
The document outlines cooperation in areas such as supporting the development of trade relations, exchanging information and experience regarding exhibitions and other events, and organizing joint initiatives with the participation of Azerbaijani and Belarusian companies.
With the support of the Ministry of Economy, and jointly organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an Azerbaijan–Belarus Business Forum was held in Baku. The event brought together officials from both countries and over 110 entrepreneurs operating in agriculture, industry, logistics, construction, trade, and other sectors.
Within the framework of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange JSC. The document was signed by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBIA, and Aleksandr Osmolovski, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange JSC.
The memorandum envisages collaboration in supporting the expansion of trade relations between Azerbaijani and Belarusian SMEs, mutual exchange of information and best practices regarding specialized international exhibitions and other events, and the organization of joint events and training programs involving companies from both countries.
In his address at the forum, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBIA, provided an overview of SME development in Azerbaijan, the support mechanisms implemented in this sphere, and the opportunities for expanding business cooperation and bilateral relations between the business communities of the two countries, emphasizing the Agency’s readiness to contribute to this process.
