A project to increase the economic power of women in the regions has been launched

“Increasing the economic power of women in the regions” Project is being implemented by The Small and Medium Business Development Agency’s (KOBİA) Yevlakh and Goychay-Agdash SME Development Centers, in cooperation with Public Union "For the Future", Women's Entrepreneurship Development Association in Azerbaijan and Goychay Women's Resource Center on Family, Women and Children Affairs.


An event on "Increasing the economic power of women in the regions: prospects and opportunities" was held in Goychay on May 20 as part of the project. The event was attended by about 100 women entrepreneurs operating in agriculture, services and trade. The purpose of the event is to get acquainted with the activities of women engaged in entrepreneurship in various fields in Goychay, Agdash, Ujar, Zardab, Yevlakh, Barda, Ganja and Mingachevir districts, to inform them about state support measures for entrepreneurs and exchange views. 


The event featured discussions on supporting the expansion and networking of business contacts of women entrepreneurs, as well as an exhibition of women's handicrafts was organized. 


The project also provides mentoring support for women entrepreneurs.
