The goal of the event is to enhance the role of SMBs in financing climate change mitigation and encourage their active participation in this process.
Within the framework of Azerbaijan's "Year of Solidarity for a Green World," a seminar on "Strengthening SMBs in OIC Member States through Green Climate Finance" will be held on July 9-10, in collaboration with the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the Statistical, Economic, and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC).
The goal of the event, which will be organized online in English, is to enhance the role of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs) operating in OIC member states in financing climate change and to encourage their active participation in this process.
The seminar will feature presentations from experts in green climate finance, representatives from relevant organizations in OIC member countries, and specialists from international organizations.
The event will provide information on mechanisms for green finance for SMBs, the effectiveness and future of climate finance, opportunities for green SMBs, and discuss the challenges faced by SMBs in this area, as well as collaboration opportunities among stakeholders to adopt green practices.
SMBs interested in participating in the seminar can register at the following link: https://erp.sesric.org/events/2024-Workshop-GreenClimateFinance/Apply
SESRIC will send a link to join the seminar to the email addresses of registered and confirmed SMBs.
If SMBs have any additional questions about the seminar, they can contact KOBİA (Rafi Gurbanov, (+994 12 404 04 01 ext. 179)) or reach out to SESRIC at training@sesric.org.
