About 80 products of SMEs are sold at the “KOB Fest” exhibition and sales fair

On October 14, the final "KOB Fest" exhibition and sales fair of the year started on Baku Boulevard (behind the Puppet Theater) under the direction of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA).


The purpose of the fair is to introduce micro and small business products and services to a wide consumer audience, expand sales opportunities, promote local products and develop sales skills of SMEs.


More than 800 types of products and services of about 80 micro and small business entities are presented and sold at the fair. The exhibition-sale fair displays honey, confectionery products, coffee, soft drinks, saffron, jams, handicrafts by crafters and creative people, textile products, clothes, accessories, leather and wooden souvenirs, ceramics, paintings, books, produced by SMEs, education and training services etc.  


"KOB Fest" also exhibits pottery gifts, small-sized carpets, handicrafts produced in the souvenir production enterprise operating in the village of Jojug Marjanli, Jabrayil region. It should be noted that the souvenir production enterprise was established with the joint support of the Jojug Marjanli Development Fund, the Public Union of Türkiye and Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists (TÜİB), KOBİA, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).


A cultural and entertainment program was also organized within the festival.


"KOB Fest" will be open till October 15 from 10:00 to 18:30.


Orkhan Mammadov, the chairman of the KOBİA board, spoke at the exhibition's opening to highlight the support provided for the growth of SMEs' sales opportunities, the "KOB Fest" exhibition and sales fairs. It was noted that starting from April 2022, 7 “KOB Fest” exhibition and sales fairs were organized in Baku, Ganja, Sheki, Lankaran, Sumgait, Shamkir and Guba. More than 4,000 varieties of products and services of more than 450 business entities and artisans were presented and were made available for sale at “KOB Fest”s.


Also speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Vusal Nasirli, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency Jamaladdin Guliyev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev shared their views on the importance of the exhibition in expanding the sales opportunities of SMEs.
