İn 2022 in Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Sheki, Zagatala, Gakh, Lankaran, Astara and Lerik districts, which have high tourism potential new business entities in the field of rural tourism will be established under the "Development of entrepreneurship and self-employment in rural areas" project.
The project, implemented with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the State Tourism Agency, envisages the establishment of 50 more businesses in these regions. For this purpose, after the selection of suitable candidates for the project, citizens will be involved in professional trainings to acquire relevant knowledge in the field of tourism and services, the area to be used as a tourist facility will be repaired and equipped.

It should be noted that the project "Development of entrepreneurship and self-employment in rural areas" is implemented to develop rural tourism, create new businesses, ensure self-employment and improve the welfare of local communities. The project was implemented for the first time in Buynuz, Khanagah, Topchu, Tazakend, Sumaganli villages and Lahij settlement of Ismayilli region with the support of SMBDA and the State Employment Agency, organized by “Odlar Yurdu” Youth Public Union. As part of the project, 15 village guest houses were established in Ismayilli, and about 300 villagers were informed about entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities. Thus, about 40 women and young people from 15 families were employed. Rural guest houses, which provide hospitality services to local and foreign tourists, contribute to the growth of income and employment of residents, the development of entrepreneurship in the region.
