During the event, an exchange of views was held on the topics of state support for the development of women’s entrepreneurship, the role of women in socio-economic life, and the activities of women entrepreneurs in strengthening economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Turkiye.
An event titled “The Power of Women in the Turkic World” was held at the Baku SME House. The event was organized by the Association for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan (AQSIA) with the support of the Samsun Businesswomen’s Association (SAMIKAD) of Turkiye and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA). Women entrepreneurs from both countries participated in the meeting.
The purpose of the event was to strengthen cooperation between Azerbaijani and Turkish women entrepreneurs, to enhance women’s economic engagement, to promote the exchange of experience and ideas, and to discuss prospects for cooperation on future joint projects.
Speakers at the event included Samir Humbatov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of KOBIA, Hijran Huseynova, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Family, Women and Children’s Affairs, Sehnaz Dereli, Chairwoman of the Board of SAMIKAD, Sakina Babayeva, Chairwoman of the Board of the Association for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, and others. In their speeches, they provided information on the state support mechanisms for the development of women’s entrepreneurship, the enhancement of women’s role in socio-economic life, and the contribution of women entrepreneurs to the development of economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Turkiye. It was also emphasized that events such as “The Power of Women in the Turkic World” are significant for fostering new partnerships, sharing experience, and implementing joint initiatives among women entrepreneurs of both countries.
At the end of the event, questions of interest to women entrepreneurs were addressed.
