Azerbaijan's Unibroad education start-up project will compete against the world's best education start-ups in the Global EdTech Startups Awards to be held in London.
Among the projects selected for the final stage of the Global EdTech Startups Awards (GESA or GESAwards), which is one of the largest start-up competitions in the world, is Azerbaijan's Unibroad education start-up.
Since 2014, GESAwards have been given out by major innovative educational organizations. Every year, almost 2,000 projects from all continents of the world apply for this competition with only one winner from each area advancing to the final stage. The final stage of the competition will take place on January 24, 2024 in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. The first, second and third place winners will be chosen from a small pool of candidates and will receive substantial cash prizes, promotion, and training support to help fund their initiatives.
It is worth pointing out that the Unibroad educational start-up was awarded the Startup certificate by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) in 2021. This document exempts the start-up from profit and income tax for a period of three years. Unibroad educational start-up is a fully automated platform with direct ties established with over 600 leading universities around the globe. Young people are given the opportunity to apply for bachelor's and master's degree programs using this platform in only 5 minutes and free of charge. In addition, the start-up is also setting up scholarship programs for young people. Unibroad educational platform is patented and available on the global market.
