Baku hosts Fish Festival

The Fish Festival has been organized as part of the Azerbaijan International Agriculture (Caspian Agro) and the 27th Azerbaijan International Food Industry (InterFood Azerbaijan) Exhibitions at the Baku Expo Center. The event is supported by the relevant agencies of Azerbaijan and Turkey, including KOBİA.


Speaking at the festival, KOBİA Board Chairman Orkhan Mammadov noted the role of fisheries in ensuring food security, employment, exports and the development of other related sectors. It was noted that more than 3,000 SMEs operate in the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors in Azerbaijan. KOBİA promotes business activities in the agricultural sector in the areas of participation in various exhibitions and fairs, access to sales markets, trainings, exchange programs, infrastructure development, networking, etc. Orkhan Mammadov noted that the event provided an opportunity to share Turkey's experience in the fishing and fish products industry and develop business relations.
