Business Development Ideas from Imishli Entrepreneurs were heard

During a meeting with local entrepreneurs, a number of ideas related to boosting cooperation, addressing entrepreneurial needs, and enhancing the investment appeal of the region were discussed between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and Imishli-based businessmen.

The event took place in the Imishli district, organized by KOBIA with the support of the Imishli District Executive Power.

Representatives of various government bodies providing services to entrepreneurs in the region also took part in the meeting. The gathering brought together more than 120 entrepreneurs engaged in sectors such as industry, cotton production, grain growing, viticulture, and husbandry.

Head of the Imishli District Executive Power, Elchin Rzayev, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA, Orkhan Mammadov, addressed the participants, touching upon the development of entrepreneurial activity, state support mechanisms, emerging business challenges, and the district’s economic and investment potential.

It was emphasized that entrepreneurs can apply to SME-friendly offices—operating in more than 50 cities and regions across the country—for detailed information on available state support tools, the development of existing businesses, innovations, and the investment climate in specific regions. In addition to Imishli, SME-friendly offices are also active in Beylagan and Sabirabad within the Mil-Mugan economic zone.

Ideas and suggestions were shared regarding entrepreneurs’ preferential loans, the “Startup" certificate, grant instruments, and other support mechanisms available to SMEs. Business opportunities in the region and other relevant matters were also discussed, and participants’ questions were addressed during the meeting.

Similar events with entrepreneurs are planned to be held in other cities and districts of the country throughout 2025.

As part of the visit, SME representatives toured the livestock farm of "Imishli R-Agro" and "Imishli Mall," where they exchanged views with local entrepreneurs on business development.
