
As part of the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, methods of expanding cooperation between the business institutions of the member countries of the organization were discussed, and a document was signed between KOBİA and ICCIA.
The 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) has kicked off in Baku.
Members of the chamber and entrepreneurs visiting our country from Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, will take part in panels covering various topics, presentations of the countries' economic potential, and "B2B" meetings. İn addition, they will visit several large agricultural enterprises.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of ICCIA, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, pointed out to the fact that the Agency attaches considerate significance to cooperation with organizations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and conveyed information on future directions of cooperation with ICCIA. It was reported that KOBİA supports the act of forging relations between local and international business circles. The agency can also support investors from ICCIA member countries seeking to start business in Karabakh.
Within the scope of the event, a number of documents were signed, including a MoU on cooperation between KOBİA and ICCIA. The document was signed by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA and Yusef Khalawi, Secretary General of ICCIA.
The MoU provides for the exchange of information and experience to promote cooperation in the field of trade and investment between Azerbaijan and businesspersons of ICCIA member countries, especially SMBs, the organization of various events to consolidate relations between SMBs, and the implementation of joint programs and projects.
