Forum on investment opportunities held in Lerik 13.06.23

At the forum on investment opportunities in Lerik, entrepreneurs were provided with information on state support mechanisms for businesses, investment opportunities of the region.

Hosted by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the Lerik District Executive Authority, a forum on the investment opportunities of Lerik was held. The representatives of state bodies that provide support and services to entrepreneurs in the region and entrepreneurs took part in the event.

Speaking at the forum, the head of the Lerik District Executive Authority, Akbar Abbasov, stated that the regions are developing as a result of the socio-economic development strategy successfully implemented in Azerbaijan, and provided information about the advantageous business and investment environment formed for entrepreneurs in Lerik, as well as potential areas for businesses.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, pointed out the significance of the role of regions in the ongoing and steady economic development of our country, and touched on the support provided by the Agency to the development of entrepreneurship, the establishment and development of new business entities, and the provision of self-employment in the regions, as well as the enforced projects. It is worth highlighting that entrepreneurs seeking to start and develop their businesses, as well as benefit from the state support mechanisms, including the support and services of KOBİA, are encouraged to apply to the SMB Friend`s offices under the Agency and SMB development centers including more than 40 cities and regions of the country.

At the event, MP Igbal Mammadov expressed his views on measures to realize the investment potential of the regions.

The forum also featured video clips on the activities of KOBİA and the rules for evaluating the activities of rural communities of Lerik region.

As part of the event, the representatives of KOBİA, the Ministries of Agriculture and Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Employment Agency, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund and the State Tourism Agency made presentations on the theme of "Investment opportunities in Lerik: existing potential and prospects", provided information to the entrepreneurs, the questions from the entrepreneurs were addressed.
