Graduation day at "IT-Academy"

The Ministry of Science, Education and Economy held a "Second Wave" graduation day for those interested in acquiring a new occupation in the digital field under the "IT-Academy" educational project.


Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education, Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy, Andrey Lobanov, General Director of "Algorithmika" international school of mathematics and programming, MPs, heads of higher education institutions, representatives of relevant state bodies and companies took part at the graduation day of the "IT-Academy" educational project.


The activities of "IT - Academy" are contribution to the development of the country's information technology market. Innovation and large-scale application of new technologies lay the foundation for improving the education system. Such projects play a significant role in terms of the competitiveness of young people in the labour market and benefiting from the opportunity to acquire a new profession." Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education highlighted his views in his speech at the graduation day of the students who studied at the "IT-Academy" operating under the "Algorithmika" international school of mathematics and programming.


At the event, Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy pointed out to the fact that expanding digital knowledge brings about fertile conditions for faster economic development. Following the trends in the global economy, Azerbaijan is also moving towards to a society with high digital skills and forming an innovative economy. Stating that "IT Academy" supports the establishment of human resources that meet the needs of the modern labour market, the first deputy minister noted that this will contribute to graduates` careers, as well as the development of the digital economy in the country.

Andrey Lobanov, general director of "Algorithmika", stated his views on the significance of the IT field in the context of modern development needs, and provided information about the teaching methods applied by the "Algorithmika" international school of mathematics and programming.


Subsequently, a presentation on the activities and educational process of the "IT Academy" prepared with the support of the Ministries of Science and Education, Economy, as well as the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) was displayed.


As part of the event, 11 graduates with good academic achievements at the "IT Academy" were awarded with certificates, and meetings were held with representatives of companies operating in the IT field.
