In January 2021, the Small and Medium Business Development Centers (KOBIM) organized 40 trainings on various topics, considering the requests and needs of micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). More than 2,000 entrepreneurs and those willing to start their own business have received trainings in finance, taxation, export, insurance, sales techniques, personnel management, franchising, legislation on entrepreneurship, etc.
Last month, KOBIM professionals instructed entrepreneurs on how to prepare business plans in various fields, draw up service contracts, export products to overseas markets, implement a startup idea, create a farm, and much more.
In January, SMBs approached the SMB Development Centers for additional training and advice on tax, export and agriculture issues.
Entrepreneurs who used the services of SMB development centers were informed about the access to financial resources for the implementation of business projects and the development of entrepreneurship, and they were put in contact with relevant agencies for obtaining concessional government loans and other financial support mechanisms.
At the same time, within the framework of the cooperation between SMBDA and the State Employment Agency, potential entrepreneurs (micro-enterprises) willing to establish their farms were provided with the necessary machinery and equipment linked to the self-employment program and were provided with needed services (information, consultation, electronic registration, etc.).
It should be noted that the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy currently has 5 small and medium business development centers in Baku, Sumgait, Khachmaz, Sheki and Yevlakh. Experienced and professional specialists of these centers carry out trainings and seminars on entrepreneurship, provide consulting services, form networks of SMBs, participate in international programs, guide access to financial resources, etc. support is provided. All services provided by SMBs are free of charge. To use these services, small and medium-sized enterprises can apply through the website www.kobim.az.
