KOBİA representatives attended the European and Asian Summit of the World Chambers Federation.

Delegates from the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) traveled to Turkey to participate in the World Chambers Federation’s European and Asian Summit, held in Istanbul. The summit devoted to the theme "Joint Approaches to Climate Action," brought together chamber leaders, experts, and representatives from both the public and private sectors to explore collaborative strategies for effective climate action.

Orhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Management Board of Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), participated in the opening of the European and Asian Summit of the World Chambers Federation held in Istanbul. Delivering a speech in the panel titled "SMEs and Climate Adaptation: Challenges and Opportunities," the chairman of KOBİA where he shared insights on the role of SMEs in combating climate change, the challenges they encounter in the process of green transition, and their requirements, and extended an invitation to the participants to join the global initiative launched by KOBİA to facilitate the green transition for SMEs.

During the summit, KOBİA representatives met with Khalid Hanafi, Secretary-General of the Arab Chambers Union; Eric Rutto, President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar International Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Muhammad Al-Haj Tavfiq, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and John Denton, Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce. The discussions centered on establishing and enhancing connections between local SMEs and entrepreneurs from the participating countries, opportunities for organizing mutual business missions, addressing the challenges SMEs face in digital transformation and the green transition, and improving access to digital commerce and markets, and exchanged ideas on joint training programs and other networking initiatives aimed at increasing collaboration opportunities for SMEs.
