KOBİA's support to agriculture reported

In Baku, a conference was hosted on November 24 to discuss the project "Promotion of local food producers and agribusiness entrepreneurs through advisory services, creation of new value chain models, and growth of agrotourism."

The growth of agritourism operations is crucial for providing employment in the regions and a reliable source of revenue, according to Orkhan Mammadov, chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), who spoke at the conference. It was reported that the Agency offers a number of support and services to entrepreneurs engaged in the field of agritourism. Assistance for internal market research, the distribution of grants in the areas of science, education, research, and support, as well as experience exchange programmes, might be included among them. The SME development centers, which operate in several regions, offer free training and consultancy services.
