Opportunities for cooperation between SMBs of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have been discussed

The business meeting was held on March 3 at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies and businessmen, who exchanged views on the economic priorities of the two countries, new areas of economic cooperation, opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, energy, transport, as well as micro, small, and medium entrepreneurship.

 

Speaking at the business meeting, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) Orkhan Mammadov noted that the Agency was interested in expanding cooperation with relevant agencies and entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan specializing in SMBs. Orkhan Mammadov provided information on the cooperation between SMBDA and the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Kazakhstan and said that according to the memorandum signed between the parties in 2019, a joint road map for cooperation was developed. He has noted that the road map provides for cooperation in areas such as arranging B2B meetings between businessmen, exchanging information on the best practices for supporting SMBs, and mutual consultations between business associations. At the business meeting, information was also provided on the SMBDA’s services and support mechanisms, and the Agency’s opportunity for providing services and support to local and Kazakhstan businessmen in the implementation of joint business projects was noted.
