Over 630 young people volunteered at KOBİA so far 05.12.23

International Volunteer Day commonly known as IVD is celebrated on December 5 every year.

"SMB volunteers" of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) is one of the programs contributing to the volunteer movement in the country. The Agency has been closely cooperating with volunteers since its inception, and the "SMB volunteer program" is in place at the institution.

The "SMB Volunteers" program assists young people, particularly those receiving administration, business and management education, broadening their knowledge and skills, as well as their perspectives in the relevant field, and acquiring basic working habits. "SMB volunteers" is closely involved in the daily operations in the administrative building of KOBİA, in SMB Friend offices of the Agency functioning in Baku city and regions, and in SMB houses. KOBİA awards certificates to young people who have finished their 3-month volunteering program, allowing them to effectively transition into working life.

Around 150 young people will be engaged in volunteering at KOBİA in 2023, with over 630 young people already involved.

Volunteer movement also brings forth an opportunity to be employed at the Agency. KOBİA hired 14 volunteers who stood out with their substantial performance and initiative during the volunteering term.

Young people interested in volunteering at KOBİA are given the option to register in the "Become an SMB volunteer" section on the Agency's official website www.smb.gov.az. Applications submitted to this section are reviewed and eligible candidates are invited to KOBİA to participate in volunteer activities.
