Public hearing on "Female entrepreneurship in legislation: opportunities and prospects"

A public hearing on "Female entrepreneurship in legislation: opportunities and prospects" was held in the Milli Majlis.


At the event hosted by the Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) Orkhan Mammadov, provided information about the development of women's entrepreneurship in our country as well as KOBİA's activities and support systems during his speech. It was mentioned that one of the top priorities for KOBİA's activities is to assist the growth of women's entrepreneurship while also promoting women's self-employment and entrepreneurship. In order to launch business ventures and grow entrepreneurial activities, women can take advantage of the Agency's support and services for training, consulting, international professional development, access to financial resources and sales markets, grants, participation in exhibitions, internal market research, Startup certificate, etc. In the most recent time frame, 10 female entrepreneurs received a Startup certificate, and 5 women entrepreneurs received grants for the projects they presented. More than 100 women entrepreneurs benefited from the "Joint Germany-Azerbaijan Program". Additionally, frequent educational sessions are held to educate women about entrepreneurship, new developments in this sector, support systems, and to research their ideas and recommendations.
