Results of the grant competition for funding the projects of SMBs announced 28.02.23

The results of the third grant competition for funding education, science, research and support projects of micro, small and medium business enterprises have been published. It was decided to fund 13 of the 234 projects submitted to the competition held by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA). A maximum of 20,000 manats will be allocated to each of the winning projects.

At the meeting of the Expert Commission, which was established for examining the projects, held on February 28, it was noted that a total of 234 projects were submitted to the competition, 230 of which were SMB entities and 4 were non-entrepreneurial entities. 106 of the projects submitted from SMBs account for legal entities, 124 to individuals, including 223 to micro, 6 to small, and 1 to medium enterprises. Of the projects submitted to the competition, 128 are educational, 15 are scientific, 29 are research, and 58 are support projects.

It is worth noting that the acceptance of documents for the 3rd grant competition for funding the projects of micro, small and medium enterprises in the fields of education, science, research and support was carried out on November 15 - December 14, 2022, and the examination and evaluation of projects was carried out on December 16, 2022 - February 10, 2023. During the evaluation of projects by the Expert Commission, in conformity with the criteria approved by the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 30, 2020, its impact on the development of micro, small and medium entrepreneurship, its innovativeness, the presence of a well-grounded idea, the opportunities of application for practical purposes, required experience for the implementation of the project and availability of material and logistics and other such factors were taken as the basis.
