On July 9 A two-day educational seminar on public-private partnership was organized in Baku by Azerbaijan Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDA) with support of the Islamic Development Bank (ADB).
Representatives of a number of government agencies and potential beneficiary organizations were provided with detailed information on successful international practices in public-private partnerships, project software concepts as well as their feasibility studies, financing mechanisms and contractual obligations, participation processes and monitoring.
It should be noted that one of the SMEDA’s activity directions is development, implementation and coordination of programs and projects for public-private partnership in the country, ensuring SMEs participation in public-private partnership projects as well as improving knowledge and skills of potential beneficiary organizations.
