The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) told AZERTAC that SME houses play an important role in improving the services provided to entrepreneurs, expanding their coverage, and providing easy and convenient access to these services in a single space.

In general, SME houses, which are a structural unit of SMBDA, are a single place for business entities to provide public-business ("G2B") and necessary business-business ("B2B") services based on the principles of efficiency, courtesy, transparency and convenience and modern innovations. The main advantage of SME houses is the provision of public and private services to entrepreneurs in a single space. This means a reduction in the time and operating costs of the entrepreneurs. Another advantage of SME houses is that the level of service provided to entrepreneurs is measurable. All this creates conditions for entrepreneurial satisfaction and the development of a favorable business ecosystem, entrepreneurs are more focused on developing their business. SME houses also stimulate the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region where they operate, the emergence of new SME entities, and support the fuller realization of the economic potential of the region.

Currently, there are two SME houses in Yevlakh and Khachmaz. According to SMBDA, a total of 79,461 services have been provided to entrepreneurs in SME houses so far. Of these, 74,994 are G2B and 4,467 are B2B services.

An electronic system is used to measure the level of satisfaction with the services provided to entrepreneurs in SME homes, and entrepreneur satisfaction is measured on the spot for each service. Entrepreneurs' satisfaction with the services provided by SME houses is currently 98 percent.

Online queuing is also available at SME houses. Entrepreneurs can take an online queue without going to their SME house by downloading the SME Queue application from GooglePlay and the App Store. This application provides the entrepreneurs with information such as the number of queues in the SME house and the end time of the queue, etc. According to the agency, the purpose of creating a mobile application "SME queue" is to provide prompt service for entrepreneurs applying to SME houses and to avoid wasting additional time.

On February 7, 2 years have passed since the Khachmaz SME House started operating. According to SMBDA, Khachmaz SME House has provided 49,931 services to entrepreneurs over the past two years. Of these, 47,973 (96 percent) are G2B services and 1,958 (4 percent) are B2B services.

As can be seen from the statistics, entrepreneurs are increasingly turning to SME houses for services provided by government agencies. Recently, two new G2B services were launched at Khachmaz SME House. "In general, one of the main activities of SMBDA is to provide services provided by all public and private institutions needed by entrepreneurs in SME houses, to further improve the quality of service, digitalization and simplification," SMBDA said.

At present, Khachmaz SME House provides about 150 G2B services at 18 service desks by 10 government agencies, and about 100 B2B services at 6 service desks by 6 private organizations. Entrepreneurs can apply to Khachmaz SME House for services related to business activities such as business registration, tax issues, business licenses and certificates of origin, extracts from the state register of property, subsidies in the agricultural sector, permits for outdoor advertising, food safety certificates, utilities, banking and other services”.

Along with Khachmaz, entrepreneurs operating in the Guba-Khachmaz economic region can also benefit from the services of the SME House. Entrepreneurs from Khachmaz, Guba and Gusar have dominated the regions that have used the services of Khachmaz SME House for the past two years.
