SMB Friends launches operation in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan 19.04.23

SMB Friends that are set to operate in the cities of Nakhchivan, Julfa, Shahbuz and Sadarak district will support the development of business in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, the formation of new SMBs, the realization of investment initiatives of entrepreneurs and the protection of their interests.

SMB Friends started operating in the cities of Nakhchivan, Julfa, Shahbuz and Sadarak district of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. SMB friends will support the establishment of new SMBs and the development of existing businesses in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, the realization of investment initiatives of entrepreneurs and the protection of their interests. SMB Friend offices will render services to the entrepreneurs of the surrounding districts as well as the respective cities and districts.

Concerning SMB Friends` starting operating in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, a meeting with entrepreneurs was held on April 19 at the Nakhchivan Business Center organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA).

At the meeting, the Minister of Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan Tapdig Aliyev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vugar Abbasov, as well as the representatives of relevant institutions and entrepreneurs operating in various sectors.

Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Tapdig Aliyev, informed on the current state of economic affairs in Nakhchivan, the economic potential of the region, the measures implemented in the areas of economic activity, and stressed the confidence that SMB Friends will support micro, small and medium business entities.

Orkhan Mammadov, the Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, delivered detailed information on the support and services rendered to entrepreneurs by the Agency, including the SMB Friend mechanism. It was noted that at the moment 46 SMB Friends are operating in 39 cities and districts of the country. SMB Friends will also operate in 4 cities and districts of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. SMB Friends will further aim to support the development of entrepreneurship and the formation of new SMB entities within the scope of state support mechanisms by benefiting from the economic potential of Nakhchivan to the maximum extent, and making the support and services of KOBİA more accessible to Nakhchivan entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs from the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan were invited to active cooperation with their SMB Friends.

Orkhan Mammadov pointed out to the fact that the SMB Development Center will soon be launched in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. The SMB Development Center will provide free consultation, training, business plan development, etc. services to entrepreneurs from the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.

As part of the event, videos on the support and services of KOBİA were demonstrated, the challenges and proposals of entrepreneurs were heard as well.

KOBİA representatives also attended the opening ceremony of the Nakhchivan branch of the "Bolmart" supermarket chain.
