SMBDA met with entrepreneurs in Agstafa region 07.04.22

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) continues to meet to learn about the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the regions and to hear their suggestions, as well as to inform entrepreneurs about government support mechanisms, including support and services provided by SMBDA.

The next such meeting was held on April 7 in Agstafa region. The meeting, organized by SMBDA and Agstafa District Executive Power, was attended by entrepreneurs from Agstafa and surrounding areas, as well as representatives of government agencies serving entrepreneurs in the region.

Within the framework of the meeting, Small and Medium Business Friend in Agstafa region - SME friend was also introduced to the business community of the region. This is the second SME friend in the Gazakh-Tovuz economic region. Currently, SME friends operate in 31 cities and regions of the country.

The SME-friendly office in Agstafa region will operate in the Heydar Aliyev Center of the region. The SME friend will provide comprehensive state support for the establishment of new businesses and the development of existing SMEs in the region. To this end, the SME friend will implement relevant measures, support and provide services within the platform of state-entrepreneur cooperation to protect the interests of entrepreneurs, implement investment initiatives, inform about business issues, and address the challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

At the event, SMBDA Board Chairman Orkhan Mammadov stressed the importance of the activities of SME friends in terms of providing on-site support to entrepreneurs, emphasizing that they contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in other regions and the operational solution of business problems as an effective support mechanism. Entrepreneurs were invited to work closely with the SME friend, and it was noted that the network of SME friends will expand to other cities and regions of the country.

The head of the Agstafa District Executive Power Seymur Orujov noted the wide economic potential of the region and the existence of favorable opportunities for entrepreneurship in the region, and expressed confidence that the SME friend would support entrepreneurs.

During the event, films were shown about the support mechanisms provided by the Agency to SMEs, the proposals of entrepreneurs were heard and their questions were answered.
