SMBDA signed three Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with relevant Italian organizations

Italy-Azerbaijan Business Forum organized in Rome as a part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Italy also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of small and medium business (SMB).

Speaking at the event, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, highlighted the potential for expanding cooperation between our countries in the field of SMBs and noted the opportunities to create a joint cooperation platform for this purpose, implementation of technology and innovation projects, exchange of information on potential investment projects, arrangement of the visits of Azerbaijani SMBs to Italy and organizing study tours to enterprises and training events for entrepreneurs, and establishment of joint ventures in Azerbaijan with the participation of SMBs of both countries.

SMBDA and the International Network for Small and Medium Enterprises (INSME) signed the Memorandum of Understanding within the business forum. The document envisages the measures providing ample opportunities for Azerbaijani SMBs to gain access to the markets of the member countries to INSME.

Memorandums of understanding signed between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) and the Italian Internationalization Agency (Promos Italia) include the cooperation in the fields such as mechanisms to promote microcredit tools for SMBs, innovative lending, export support measures, organization of training and consulting services, development of professional skills of SMBs, and implementation of joint projects.
