SME friends have started operating in Dashkasan and Goygol districts 13.05.22

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) continues to meet to learn about the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the regions and to hear their suggestions, as well as to inform entrepreneurs about government support mechanisms, including support and services provided by KOBİA.

The next such meetings were held on May 13 in Dashkasan and Goygol districts. Entrepreneurs and representatives of government agencies serving them took part in the meetings organized by KOBİA and the executive authorities of the relevant regions.

Within the framework of the meetings, KOBİA's Friends of Small and Medium Business in Dashkasan and Goygol - SME friends were introduced to the business community of the region. Thus, the number of SME friends in the Ganja-Dashkesan economic region has reached 3. Currently, SME friends operate in 33 cities and regions of the country.

In Dashkasan and Goygol districts, SME friends offices are located in the Heydar Aliyev Centers. Necessary conditions have been created in the offices to support and provide services to entrepreneurs. Along with the SME friend, there are also SME Volunteers in the offices.

At the event, KOBİA Board Chairman Orkhan Mammadov stressed the importance of the activities of SME friends in terms of providing on-site support to entrepreneurs, emphasizing that it contributes to the development of entrepreneurship in other regions and the operational solution of business problems as an effective support mechanism. Entrepreneurs were invited to work closely with the SME friend, and it was noted that the network of SME friends will expand to other cities and regions of the country.

During the meetings, films were shown about the support mechanisms provided by the Agency to SMEs, proposals of entrepreneurs were heard and questions of interest were answered.

On the same day, a meeting was held with beekeepers who participated in the "Support to the Development of Beekeeping" project implemented in Dashkesan region with the support of KOBİA and organized by AzerGold CJSC. The sides exchanged views on the difficulties faced by farm owners during beekeeping activities and ways to overcome them, the initiatives of beekeepers, as well as the support provided to them under the project. It should be noted that beekeepers operating in Chovdar, Bayan, Gushchu and Zeylik villages of Dashkesan region were involved in the trainings, acacia trees were planted in the region, 120 bee families fully equipped with the necessary equipment and relevant medicines were provided to farmers within the project.
