On December 16, the Baku Business Center hosted Polish-Azerbaijani seminar on innovations with the collaborative organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Startup Hub Poland Foundation and IdealHub Innovation and Technology Center.

During the event, possibilities for expanding Polish-Azerbaijani cooperation in the area of fostering innovations and startups were reviewed, including the V4-Azerbaijan Tech Bridge (V4ATB) programme run by Poland in Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the seminar, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov noted that the development of innovative entrepreneurship will be essential for increasing the economic potential of Poland and Azerbaijan. Joint initiatives will contribute to building of relevant platforms between entrepreneurs, startups, and investors from both countries. Orkhan Mammadov also provided information on KOBİA's support programmes, such as the Startup certificate, which encourage the innovative business practices of regional entrepreneurs.

According to Rafal Poborski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the projects presented by the Azerbaijani startups that participated in the V4ATB program are interesting, and that the local startups are mostly prepared from the technological and business perspective.

Maciej Sadowski, the founder of the Startup Hub Poland Foundation and the head of the V4ATB programme, provided information about the Polish startup ecosystem, the mechanisms for supporting innovation, and the V4ATB programme.

Founder of IdealHub Innovation and Technology Center (Azerbaijan partner of V4ATB) Tural Karimli shared his views on the center's activity and program.
