Online scientific-practical conference "The road to victory: a state with a strong economy is capable of everything" jointly organized by Azerbaijan Union of Economists, and the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic was held on November 24.

Speaking at the online event, Orkhan Mammadov, the Chairman of the Management Board to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA), noted that the rich economic potential of liberated lands creates favorable conditions for the establishment and development of business here. It was noted that revitalization and export of traditional sectors of the regions, such as tourism, agriculture, agricultural processing, folk crafts, etc. promise great perspectives. At the same time, the establishment of a land transport corridor between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Azerbaijan through Karabakh will be important not only for Azerbaijan but also for the region as a whole. SMBDA informs the international community about Armenians' military provocations through foreign partner organizations and institutions from the first days of the war. Providing the operation of SMB Development Center and SMB House and "SMB Friends" network in all regions to provide access of businesses in liberated areas to state services, training, and business consultations will be considered within the future plans of the Agency. At the conference Vahid Novruzov, the Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors spoke about the works to be done by the Chamber of Auditors for reconstruction and revival of liberated lands; Ziyad Samadzadeh, the Chairman of Azerbaijan Union of Economists, Member of the Parliament, spoke about the perspective directions of socio-economic development of Karabakh in President Ilham Aliyev's economic policy; Akif Musayev, Head of the Scientific Center "Reconstruction of Post-Conflict Areas" under the Institute of Economics of ANAS, spoke on the financial sources of the restoration of the liberated territories; Altay Jafarov, independent auditor and Member of the Council of the Chamber of Auditors, spoke on the role of accounting and auditing in the reassessment of the capacity of the liberated territories in the post-occupation period; the vice-rector of Azerbaijan Cooperation University Bayali Atashov spoke about the role of the liberated regions in strengthening food security; Zamin Huseynov, the director of ABAK-Az Crovve LTD, spoke about the International Standards for Assessment of damage and losses caused by war and occupation; Elshad Samadzadeh, the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Union of Economists spoke of "Results of sustainable development – victory"; Goshgar Ahmadov, the head of the Chamber of Auditors, spoke on environmental assessment and environmental audit in the post-conflict period.

Broad discussions were conducted, various proposals and recommendations were presented during the event.
