A commemorative event on the 30th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy was held at Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

First of all, the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a moment of silence.

Speaking at the event, Nadir Adilov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Agency, emphasized that the tragedy caused by the Soviet empire on January 19-20, 1990, in Baku was forever engraved in the memory of Azerbaijani people as a history of the struggle for the freedom and independence.

Speakers at the event said that the January 20 tragedy will never be forgotten and the memory of our martyrs who died for the independence of our Motherland will always live in the hearts of the lovers of Azerbaijan.

In the end, the movie "The Holy Place," dedicated to the January 20 tragedy, was demonstrated.
