
Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) Orkhan Mammadov met with President of the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (ICYF) Taha Ayhan, who is visiting Baku.
During the meeting, they expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between KOBİA and the organization and holding of joint events, and exchanged views on cooperation opportunities.
During the meeting, KOBİA and ICYF also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in holding the next Investment Summit in Baku in November this year.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Investment and Culture Summit was held in Baku on October 27-29, 2021. The event, organized by KOBIA and ICYF with the support of the Ministries of Economy and Culture, was attended by government officials from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member countries, representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps, businessmen, investors, startups, youth organizations and representatives from more than 20 countries. Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Head of the Finance Office of the Presidency of Türkiye Goksel Ashan, Head of the Investment Office of the Presidency of Türkiye Burak Daglioglu, President of the World Ethnosport Confederation Necmettin Bilal Erdogan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Cetin Ali Donmez and others spoke at the event. Within the framework of the summit, 7 panel meetings were organized on the business and investment potential of Azerbaijan, including liberated Karabakh, economic and trade prospects of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member countries, economic recovery in the post-COVID period, investment in startup projects, an exhibition featuring 50 new startups from OIC member countries was held.
