An incubation station has been launched in the Jocuk Marjanli village of Jabrayil region within the Socio-Economic Development Activity (SEDA) project jointly implemented by the Government of Azerbaijan and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

In this regard, the event was held with the participation of the Ministry of Economy, Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, US Embassy in Azerbaijan, Jabrayil region Executive Power and entrepreneurs on October 10 in Jojuk Marjanli.

Speaking at the event, Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy informed about the successful policy pursued under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of sustainable and balanced socio-economic development of the regions of country, implemented modern infrastructure projects, activities to improve the quality of public services, public sector support mechanisms to the development of private sector. Emphasizing the importance of joint projects implemented in the village of Jojuk Marjanli of the Jabrayil region to where the head of the state gave new life, Sahib Mammadov said that the commissioning of the incubation station would help to expand the activities of the rural population in the field of poultry.

Kamal Hasanov, Head of the Jabrail Region Executive Power, said that the projects implemented in Jojuk Marjanli contribute to the development of the village and employment of the residents.

Faig Abbasov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke about the work done by the Agency for the development of small and medium businesses. It was noted that the Honeycomb mobile production workshop ordered by SMBDA to encourage and support micro and small businesses in the area was launched in March this year. The mobile workshop for processing and packaging of beekeeping products serves beekeeping farms in Jojuk Marjanli and nearby villages.

Michael Henning, representative of the U.S. Agency for International Development, highlighted successful cooperation with the Government of Azerbaijan in this area by informing about the community-based economic projects being implemented in the regions, including Jojuk Marjanli within the "Social-economic Development Activity" project.

Speaking at the event, the residents of Jocuk Marjanli expressed their gratitude to the President for the great care and attention given.

At the end of the event, the participants got acquainted with an exhibition of handicrafts and products made by entrepreneurs and a souvenir production facility under construction.

Note: The incubation station, established within the Socio-Economic Development Activity Project (SEDA), which co-funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and the U.S. Agency for International Development, is equipped with two (2) incubator boxes with the capacity of 4,000 eggs and one incubator output box with a capacity of 2400 eggs.
