On May 7, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) held a webinar on New Opportunities for Startups.

In the online event with the participation of micro, small, and medium businesses and startups, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of SMBDA Zaur Gardashov, Director of the INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center Mammad Karimov, and the Agency’s official Humbat Abdullayev provided information on the existing startup supporting mechanisms, including the Startup Certificate, its advantages, the procedure for applying for a certificate, and the required documents. It was noted that SMBDA continues to accept applications for a Startup Certificate from SMBs. SMBs wishing to obtain a Startup Certificate may apply to the Agency directly or electronically. The Startup Certificate exempts SMBs from income tax and tax on income from innovation activity for 3 years.

As part of the event, startups were also informed on other support mechanisms provided by the INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center and ARMSB, as well as the first competition of educational, scientific, research, and support projects, the results of which were recently announced, and the next competition.
