Baku hosted the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Hungary and the Azerbaijan-Hungary business forum. The event was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies and businessmen from both countries.
Speaking at the meeting of the Joint Commission, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) Orkhan Mammadov made various proposals to expand cooperation between SMEs of the two countries. It was noted that intensive mutual visits with the participation of relevant agencies and businessmen should be organized for the development of relations between the SMEs of our countries. Within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Hungary Business Council, close and direct contacts can be established between the business communities of the two countries. SMBDA can support the establishment of joint ventures in agriculture, industry, ICT, services, tourism and other fields in our country with the participation of Hungarian and Azerbaijani SMEs.
Speaking at the business forum, the chairman of SMBDA stressed that there are wide opportunities for cooperation between the business communities of Azerbaijan and Hungary, and informed about the activities of the Agency. It was noted that SMBDA can support foreign businessmen wishing to establish business activities in our country, including entrepreneurs from Hungary, in liaising with relevant agencies, finding reliable local partners and other areas.
