In the "Year of Volunteers," three more young volunteers were hired by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The young people, “SMB volunteers” started their careers in the Innovation, Training and Consulting, Law and Finance and Procurement Departments of the Agency based on their education, as well as experience gained during their volunteering period.
At present, a total of 40 young people work as volunteers at SMBDA, 12 of them are involved in volunteer activities at the head office of the Agency, and 28 at the "SMB Friend" offices in 20 cities and regions of the country.
"SMB Volunteers" also operate in the Khachmaz SMB House, where entrepreneurs are provided with about 300 G2B and essential B2B services in a single space.
"SMB Volunteers" Program has been implemented in SMBDA since 2018 to increase the knowledge and skills, the vision of young people, inculcate in them labour skills before starting a professional career, as well as to support entrepreneurs. About 150 young people have joined the program and volunteered at SMBDA and its regional branches so far.
