In 2019, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) conducted 15 surveys among micro, small and medium businesses (SMBs).
Surveys conducted among SMBs operating in Baku and regions of the country cover fields such as connection to the electricity grid, the reforms in the judicial system, issuance of construction permits,corporate governance in companies, identification of needs of entrepreneurs for training, professions and specialties, reforms to improve the business environment, import-export operations, and self-employment.
About 6,000 SMBs participated in surveys to study the needs and proposals of SMBs and identify the challenges they face. Answers for over 180 questions were received, summarized and analyzed, to presently undertake relevant measures.
