Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia sign agreement on establishment of Joint Azerbaijan-Saudi Business Council

The Joint Commission between the governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on cooperation in the areas of economics, commerce, investment, technology, culture, sports, and youth conducted its seventh meeting in Baku on December 19.


The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the Federation of Chambers of Saudi Arabia signed the Agreement on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council as part of the meeting. 


The chairman of the Board of KOBİA, Orkhan Mammadov, and the co-chairman of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council, Ahmed Al Dakhil signed the document.


The Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council, which will be represented by members of both countries' business communities, will assist in fostering direct business partnerships, support entrepreneur initiatives, arrange cross-country business visits, meetings, seminars, round tables, and other events, and facilitate information sharing between business communities.


Orkhan Mammadov, the chairman of KOBİA, provided information about the organization's collaboration with pertinent Saudi Arabian entities in his remarks at both the commission meeting and the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Investment Forum. He stressed that KOBİA will continue its efforts to expand relations between the business circles of our countries, and the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council will contribute to further strengthening of trade relations by developing cooperation between business communities. The KOBİA chairman invited businessmen to actively cooperate with the business council and join this platform.
