SMBs operating in the construction sector with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the 25th Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition ("Baku Build 2019") which has started today.

Various building materials, engineering services, heating systems, automated doors, smart houses, security systems, landscape architecture, and more products and services are displayed in a special stand dedicated to SMBs in the exhibition.SMBDA is also among the organizations that support "Baku Build 2019" Exhibition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Minister of Economy informed about the development of industry in our country, including the development of construction sector, the state support in this area, as well as positive dynamics achieved and drew attention to the importance of exhibitions in terms of demonstrating successes acquired in various sectors of the economy. It was noted that more than 5,000 companies from 35 countries presented their products and advanced technologies at the exhibition since 1995. This year`s exhibition is traditionally supported by the Ministry of Economy, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, the Azerbaijan Export, and the Investment Promotion Fund

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, said that the Agency supports SMBs through various mechanisms, and one of such support measures is to ensure participation of entrepreneurs in specialized exhibitions. SMBDA is also participating at the "Baku Build" Exhibition with its stand, and products and services of SMBs operating in the construction sector are displayed here. The main objective of this support is to encourage SMBs to deliver their products and services to a wider audience, expand their sales opportunities, and build business relationships.

It should be noted that Caspian International Furniture, Interior and Design Exhibition (Caspian Furniture Expo 2019), 12th Caspian International Protection, Security and Rescue Exhibition (“Securex Caspian 2019”) and 12th International Exhibition for "Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Water Supply, Sanitary and Swimming Pool" (“Aquatherm Baku 2019”) are being held via the same platform as "Baku Build 2019." The exhibitions will run until 25th October.
